I’m not sure how many of you are
familiar with Rita Ora, but if you aren’t you should be! The British
singer-songwriter, who has been compared to the likes of Rihanna, and is also a
protégé of Jay-Z, is creating a storm in both the music and the fashion world. With
those platinum blond curls, her blood red lipstick (my go-to/absolute favorite),
and fabulous nails, I knew she was my kind of woman when I first saw her in her
video for “How We Do (Party).” She’s a girl who’s dedicated to her look and
adventurous too! I love someone who’s not afraid to be themselves and not
conform to society’s standards.
She’s dated Rob Kardashian, then they
broke up sadly. Now she’s been linked to the likes of funny-man Jonah Hill. But
enough about that, my focus is on her upcoming tour, and her working
relationship with none other than Peter Dundas, creative director for Emilio
Pucci – one of my personal favorite brands – as he designs the costumes for the
tour.
Both Dundas and Ora worked closely
together to design outfits that would "perfectly echo her unique take on
urban glamour.” The “Radioactive Tour,” began last night in Manchester, UK. Dundas
comments “the idea of movement became a key creative concept behind the
designs, coupled with the re-interpretation of key themes from the brand's
spring/summer 2013 collection.” The outfits include a metallic armour-inspired
bodice, a military camouflage jumpsuit and a flowing golden cape. Check out the
sketches below!
Cheers! The Aristochic
