Out with the old and in with the new right? I guess that works
for for about a week or two when we’re all intent on proving we can make
resolutions and really keep them... but then you go back to school or to work,
to your boyfriend/lover/friends and the events keep coming one after the other,
the excuses pile up, and you tell yourself, ‘Oh, I’ll just pick it back up on
Monday!’ Then Monday comes along and you find some other excuse that will deter
you from your goals… we’re all guilty of it. That’s okay though! Here are some easy
steps I find might help you all get geared up for facing the new year head on:
1. Everything in moderation. You shouldn’t have to stress about diets and controlling every little single thing you eat. You can live a little, sometimes even indulge, and just know that when you do, you should make it your goal to go harder at the gym!

2. Mix It Up! Try a new
workout class. Changing your workout routine will stop you from getting bored
and discouraged to keep it up. I’ve found that I love taking classes at the Bar
Method. These small classes really help you concentrate on kicking your core’s
ass while shaping your body the right way.
3. Avoid ‘Smart
Water.’ – I’ve read that it has the lowest PH in the water game, so
find yourself an alternative that has high PH to help keep your body balanced.
4. Try coconut
oil. Instead of snacking, have a spoonful of coconut oil. It will
keep you full and help with your metabolism.
5. Protein. Up your
intake.
6. Medidate.
7. Keep it Fresh. Buy fresh veggies or
fruits and cut and prepare them as soon as you buy them and keep them stored in
a glass Tupperware in your fridge. This keeps you from being tempted from
having bad snacks since they’re already prepared.
8. When in doubt, work out!
